Recently, the Huizhou inspection and quarantine bureau again detected a number of export clothing with a pH value exceeding the standard. The garments were 16308 pairs of polyester men's shorts, valued at $9784.8.

According to the regulations of Guangdong inspection and Quarantine Bureau on import and export textile and garment inspection and regulation, the Bureau issued "unqualified notice" to the batch of unqualified garments.

Since the beginning of this year, the Huizhou inspection and Quarantine Bureau has strictly inspected and inspected the safety and hygiene items of textile and clothing products.

In 1~9 months of this year, a total of 163 batches of export textile and apparel samples were detected, of which 33 batches were found unqualified.

In these unqualified batches, the pH value exceeded the standard up to 29 batches, accounting for 87.9% of the total number of unqualified.

From the sample of unqualified samples, 9 batches were woven fabrics and the rest were all clothing products for infants or children directly exposed to skin. The detection data was up to 9.55.

PH value is the safety index of textiles. PH value of textiles is beneficial to human body protection between slight acid and neutral.

According to the national GB18401-2003 standard, the pH value of textile products for infants and children directly exposed to skin should be controlled at 4 to 7.5, and the pH value of textile products with direct contact with skin should be controlled at 4 to 9.

If pH is too high, under alkaline conditions, it will stimulate and corrode the skin, cause inflammation of the skin, and bacteria and bacteria will grow faster and be harmful to the human body. PH value is too low, and the acid is too high, so that the clothing is easy to damage in storage.

The excessive pH value of textile and clothing is mainly due to the use of various dyes and finishing AIDS in the process of printing and dyeing and finishing. These finishing auxiliaries are not properly controlled if they are not adequately washed and various finishing agents added during the washing process.

At present, many countries have issued relevant laws and technical standards, strictly stipulate the pH value of textiles.

Recently, Huizhou enterprises have repeatedly delayed their exports due to excessive pH value, and the problem can not be ignored.

Export production enterprises should pay more attention to the study of relevant standards and avoid human factors.

Especially for some small businesses that produce low-grade children's clothing and direct contact with skin, such as underwear, it is necessary to strengthen the adjustment and management of the technological parameters of textile rear wash, and do well in the detection of pH values before the factory.
