Formally established, more than 300 enterprises involved in the production, processing and marketing of textile and garment industry participated in the chamber of Commerce. The chamber of Commerce will set up a platform for financing and communication for our city's garment industry.
According to Li Yong, Secretary General of the city chamber of Commerce and industry (General Chamber of Commerce) textile and clothing trade association, at present, there are more than 3800 garment production enterprises in Chongqing, scattered in distribution and small in scale of operation. The establishment of the chamber of Commerce and industry of Chongqing textile and Apparel Association is an inevitable requirement for the development of the garment industry in the city.

Duan Yuanhong, vice president of the city chamber of textile and garment industry, said that funds have always been a problem restricting the development of small and medium-sized garment enterprises. Especially during the financial crisis in 2009, the problem of capital became more prominent. After the establishment of the chamber of Commerce, a financing platform will be set up to provide financing guarantee services for member enterprises. In the near future, a symposium on banks and enterprises will be held, and communication between enterprises and banks and other financial institutions should be strengthened.
