Qatar Royal Investment Organization Mayhoola Group (hereinafter referred to as Mayhoola) has a comprehensive control of Italy's senior men's wear brand Pal Zileri.

According to reports, Mayhoola has acquired Pal Zileri parent Forall Confezioni SpA100% equity.

The financial details of the paction were not disclosed.

Mayhoola said that the brand new CEO will be appointed in September.

In 2014, Mayhoola acquired a stake in Pal Zileri65%, and the remaining 35% stake was held by Egyptian garment manufacturer Arafa Holding.

In recent years, Qatar investors have launched a series of acquisitions in Europe, expanding their portfolios in fashion, retail and real estate sectors.

Last month, Mayhoola announced the acquisition of a majority stake in the French luxury brand Pierre Balmain. Besides, Mayhoola is also a controlling shareholder of Italy luxury brand Valentino and owns some share of the British designer brand Anya Hindmarch.

Pal Zileri products are selected from rare fabrics such as cashmere, guanaco and vicuna, and are hired by Italy craftsmen in the production base of the brand, one of which is located at Quinto Vicentino, the headquarters of the brand.

At present, the brand is sold in more than 70 countries in Europe, the Americas and Asia, including 32 flagship stores and 500 multi brand stores.

Mauro Ravizza Krueger, currently the creative director of the brand, has worked in Caruso, Loro Piana, Herno and Luciano Barbera and other fashion companies. Since January 2015, Pal Zileri has been added, which has injected fresh blood into the brand.

Currently, CEO Paolo Roviera has been the top management of Zegna luxury group Zegna (Ermenegildo Zegna). After joining Pal Zileri, it introduced a new management structure, which changed the brand family business management mode in the past.

Roviera's goal was to double the market share of the brand within five years and relocate the distribution channel.

Pal Zileri has global sales of 80 million euros in 2015, and will expand the US market in the future.
