In January, Slovakia's industrial output increased by 8.4% over the same period last year, which rose by 9.1% in the manufacturing sector, 4.7% in electricity, natural gas and water, and 0.7% in mining and quarrying.

In the manufacturing sector, the manufacturing of pport equipment continues to show an objective growth trend.

Transport equipment manufacturing increased by 37.9%.

The production of rubber and plastic products increased by an average of 19.1%, an increase of 16.8% in machinery and equipment, and an increase of 10.3% in the production of coke, refined petroleum products and nuclear fuel.

The production of leather and leather products declined by 11.6%, the output of wood and wood products dropped by 11%, textiles and textile products fell by 10%, the output of other non-metallic minerals dropped by 9.9%, and the output of electronic and optical equipment declined in January after a long increase.
